Introduction

Electrodeionisation (EDI) is a water treatment technology that is highly efficient and meets the most stringent environmental standards. Successful commercial applications date back to 1987. Until now, however the high capital cost of EDI equipment has limited its widespread use in large industrial applications.


Cost is Comparable to Resin Systems

The E-Cell system delivers all the EDI's operating cost and environmental benefits at a capital cost comparable to resin system. Get constant pure water quality, at high recovery rates without costly and hazardous regeneration systems in applications with volumes from 47.5 lpm up to 2280 lpm and more.


UltraPure Water Without Chemicals

Voltage applied across ion-exchange membranes and mixed resins purify feed water to effluent levels exceeding 15 Mohm.cm. The process maintains the resins in a purified state, so hazardous caustic and acid regeneration chemicals are not required. You can count on consistent water quality, month in and month out. Resins in EDI systems don't exhaust, unlike conventional resin beds where quality begins to drop soon after regeneration.

Water recovery rates as high as 90% or greater eliminate waste problems. Efficient ion transfer removes almost all ions and ensures low power consumption.
